Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Wednesday. The main index, EGX30 rose by 0.01 per cent, to 27,227.44 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 sunk by 0.35 per cent, to 5,891.86 points.
The index, EGX100 index went down by 0.16 per cent, to 8,536.77 points.
The total market cap reached 1,839,050,781,392 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs’ and Non-Arab Foreigners’ transactions were mainly sellers with a total of 651,274,768 Egyptian pounds, and 3,006,711,608 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with 3,657,986,376 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Wednesday
- The shares of Misr Hotels (MHOT.CA) rose by 13.64 per cent, to close at the price of 124.380 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Emaar Misr for Development (EMFD.CA) climbed by 7.41 per cent, to trade at the price of 6.230 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Gadwa For Industrial Development (GDWA.CA) jumped by 7.33 per cent, to the purchasing price of 4.390 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Wednesday
- The shares of Electro Cable Egypt (ELEC.CA) fell by 5.21 per cent, to close at 2.163 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Rowad Tourism (Al Rowad) (ROTO.CA) declined by 4.76 per cent, to close at 27.590 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Cairo Educational Services (CAED.CA) dropped by 4.13 per cent, to close at the price of 21.140 Egyptian pounds a share.
