Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Thursday. The main index, EGX30 sunk by 0.08 per cent, to 27,205.14 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 surged by 0.82 per cent, to 5,940.01 points.
The index, EGX100 index climbed by 0.59 per cent, to 8,587.17 points.
The total market cap reached 1,837,549,033,210 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners transactions were mainly sellers with a total of 1,726,784,804 Egyptian pounds, and 60,858,723 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net buyers with 1,787,643,527 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Thursday
- The shares of MM Group For Industry And International Trade (MTIE.CA) rose by 10.50 per cent, to close at the price of 7.790 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Cleopatra Hospital Company (CLHO.CA) climbed by 7.57 per cent, to trade at the price of 6.680 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Electro Cable Egypt (ELEC.CA) jumped by 6.15 per cent, to the purchasing price of 2.296 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Thursday
- The shares of Digitize for Investment And Technology (DGTZ.CA) fell by 19.74 per cent, to close at 2.480 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Misr Fretilizers Production Company – Mopco (MFPC.CA) declined by 7.11 per cent, to close at 49.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Pyramisa Hotels (PHTV.CA) dropped by 6.43 per cent, to close at the price of 135.700 Egyptian pounds a share.
