Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed mixed on Monday, with the main index, EGX30 inching down by 0.32 per cent to 27,952.04 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 was flat at 2,701.89 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 rose by 0.43 per cent to 6,278.67 points.
The EGX100 index went up by 0.16 per cent to 9,060.76 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 1,897,956,108,143 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with 1,684,199,469 Egyptian pounds and 1,022,163,358 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 2,706,362,826 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Monday
- The shares of Maridive & oil services (MOIL.CA) jumped by 18.52 per cent, to close at the price of 0.320 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of El Ezz Porcelain (Gemma) (ECAP.CA) climbed by 7.77 per cent, to trade at the price of 22.480 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of The Egyptian Modern Education Systems (MOED.CA) surged by 6.92 per cent, to the purchasing price of 0.278 Egyptian pound a share.
Top losers on Monday
- The shares of Rights Issue Of Al Tawfeek Leasing Company – A.T.LEASE -2 (ATLC_r2.CA) fell by 7.78 per cent, to close at 1.019 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of Taqa Arabia (TAQA.CA) declined by 4.58 per cent, to close at 12.920 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank- Egypt (ADIB.CA) dropped by 4.18 per cent, to close at the price of 35.750 Egyptian pound a share.
