EGX closes mixed on Monday

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw mixed performance on Monday, with the main index, EGX30 going up by 0.38 percent to 31458.59 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33 was down by 0.42 to 3356.48 points.

The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 0.59 per cent to 8924.18 points

The EGX100 index hiked by 0.23 per cent to 12326.39 points.

Egypt’s market capitalisation reached 2,246,477,289,929 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 266,644,893 Egyptian pounds and 2,975,120,257 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 3,241,765,151 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers

  1. Shares of Iron And Steel for Mines and Quarries soared by 20.00 per cent to close at 6.240 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Shares of Sinai Cement jumped by 19.98 per cent, closing at 45.460 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Shares of Arab Developers Holding climbed by 9.91 per cent, to close at 0.255 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers

  1. Shares of Rights Issue of Beltone Holding -4 dived by 20.63 per cent, closing at 0.050 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Shares of Al Tawfeek Leasing Company-A.T.LEASE plunged by 8.59 to close at 4.150 Egyptian pounds.
  3. Shares of Maridive & oil services sank by 7.86 per cent to, closing at 0.258 Egyptian pounds.
