EGX closes mixed on Nov 5

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Wednesday.

  • The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 0.17 per cent, to 39,132.25 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33, advanced by 0.42 per cent, to 4,070.71 points.
  • The EGX35-LV index dropped by 0.29 per cent to 4,337.07 points
  • The SMEs index, EGX70, sank by 0.97 per cent to 12,078.12 points.
  • The EGX100 index went down by 0.82 per cent to 15,928.89 points.

The total market capitalisation reached 2,800,342,183,088 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,944,083,073 pounds and 2,578,497,698 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 4,522,580,771 pounds.

Top Gainers

  1. The shares of Gogreen for Agricultural Investment went up by 11.00 per cent to 2.220 pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Macro Group Pharmaceuticals -Macro Capital climbed by 8.38 per cent to 3.880 pounds a share.
  3. The shares of El Kahera El Watania Investment rose by 7.85 per cent to 75.180 pounds a share.

Top losers

  1. The shares of East Delta Flour Mills dropped by 8.41 per cent to 333.010 pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Gadwa For Industrial Development sank by 5.31 per cent to 1.070 pounds a share.
  3. The shares of El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries went down by 5.07 per cent to 110.340 pounds a share.
