Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up by 0.10 per cent to 38,267.8 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 fell by0.02 cent to 3,925.64 points.
- The index EGX35-LV advanced 0.39 per cent to 4,334.98 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 rose 0.05 per cent to 12,085.6 points.
- The EGX100 index went down 0.04 per cent, to 15,908.54 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,769,510,721,755 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyer with a total of 5,096,359,964 pounds, and 9,952,283,104 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyer with 15,048,643,067 pounds.
Top gainers
- Shares of Suez Canal Bank S.A.E soared 18.11 per cent to 39.390 pounds a share.
- Shares of Macro Group Pharmaceuticals -Macro Capital jumped 11.69 per cent to 3.630 pounds a share.
- Shares of Gogreen for Agricultural Investment climbed 7.56 per cent to 1.850 pounds a share.
To losers
- Shares of Egyptian Iron & Steel plunged 5.00 per cent to 40.320 pounds a share.
- Shares of Copper For Commercial Investment and Real Estate Development dived 4.76 per cent to 0.600 pounds a share.
- Shares of Nasr Company for Civil Works sank 4.44 per cent to 6.890 pounds a share.
