Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly in the green zone on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 1.90 per cent, to 45,905.16 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, jumped by 2.85 per cent to 4,881.66 points.
- The index EGX35-LV soared by 1.40 per cent to 4,720.48 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, plunged by 0.08 per cent, to 12,596.6 points.
- The EGX100 index rose by 0.40 per cent, to 17,092.09 points.
The total market cap reached 3,115,713,749,033 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptian and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 4,609,026,862 Egyptian pounds and 3,504,340,747 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Arabs were net sellers with 8,113,367,609 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool went up by 8.67 per cent to 45.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Telecom Egypt rose by 8.43 per cent to close at 80.110 per cent a share.
- The shares of El Nasr Clothes & Textiles (Kabo) jumped by 7.48 per cent, closing at 6.900 Egyptian pounds.
To losers
- The shares of El Orouba Securities Brokerage dropped by 4.27 per cent to 1.120 Egyptian pounds at closing.
- The shares of Samad Misr -EGYFERT fell by 4.19 per cent to close at 175.990 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Grand Investment Capital sank by 3.84 per cent, closing at 29.070 Egyptian pounds a share.
