Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly green on Wednesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went by 0.21 per cent to 41,508.31 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 rose 0.03 per cent to 4,445.8 points.
- The EGX35-LV index dropped 0.19 per cent to 4,605.51 points
- The SMEs index, EGX70 added 0.76 per cent to 13,089.94 points.
- The EGX100 index leaped 0.57 per cent to 17,281.55 points.
Total market cap reached 2,958,170,551,894 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,189,971,328 pounds and 3,999,969,136 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 5,189,940,464 pounds.
Top Gainers
- The shares of South Cairo, Giza Mills, Bakeries jumped 20.00 per cent to 251.880 pounds a share.
- The shares of North Cairo Mills climbed 16.11 per cent to 130.000 pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria Flour Mills soared 13.64 per cent to 65.500 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Subscription Rights of Copper for Commercial Investment, and Real Estate dropped by 17.65 per cent to 0.112 pounds a share.
- The shares of Digitise for Investment and Technology sank by 9.05 per cent to 5.530 pounds a share.
- The shares of GTEX for Commercial and Industrial went down by 5.26 per cent to 0.036 pounds a share.
