Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly in the green area on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index EGX30 rose 0.01 per cent to 37,097.37 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 added 0.41 per cent to 3,705.69 points.
- The index EGX35-LV fell 0.09 per cent to 4,072.67 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 gained 0.45 per cent to 11,339.39 points.
- The EGX100 index advanced 0.38 per cent to 14,954.76 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,627,205,770,999 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with a total of 8,804,076,588 pounds, and 4,273,661,124 pounds, respectively.
On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 13,077,737,712 pounds.
Top gainers
- Shares of El-Nile Co. for Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries soared 19.99 per cent to 97.180 pounds a share.
- Shares of Gadwa for Industrial Development jumped 10.79 per cent to 7.600 pounds a share.
- Shares of Raya Customer Experience jumped by 10.17 per cent to 9.970 pounds a share.
To losers
- Shares of Egyptian Iron and Steel dived 4.85 per cent to 25.700 pounds a share.
- Shares of Egyptian Media Production City lost 3.24 per cent to 33.770 pounds a share.
- Shares of Macro Group Pharmaceuticals -Macro Capital sank 3.20 per cent to 3.330 pounds a share.
