Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly red on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down 0.86 per cent to 46,790.96 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, fell by 0.75 per cent to 5,017.9 points.
- The index EGX35-LV climbed by 0.03 per cent to 5,344.51 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, dropped by 0.53 per cent, to 12,703.59 points.
- The EGX100 index sank by 0.42 per cent, to 17,787.26 points.
The total market cap reached 3,277,331,103,313 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 3,901,130,722 Egyptian pounds, and 50,278,852,726 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers with 54,179,983,448 Egyptian pounds
Top gainers
- The shares of Gourmet Egypt.Com Foods went up by 7.31 per cent to 11.300 pounds a share.
- The shares of Misr Hotels rose by 6.63 per cent to close at 25.900 pounds a share.
- The shares of Gogreen for Agricultural Investment jumped by 6.31 per cent, closing at 2.360 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank- Egypt dropped by 4.76 per cent to 39.050 pounds a share.
- The shares of Raya Holding For Financial Investments fell by 4.19 per cent to close at 5.490 pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptians Real Estate Fund Certificates sank by 3.53 per cent, closing at 12.580 pounds a share.
