EGX closes mostly red on 29 Oct

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly red on Wednesday.

  • The benchmark index, EGX30 fell by 0.20 per cent, to 3,8229.53 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33 advanced by 0.36 per cent, to 3,926.52 points.
  • The EGX35-LV index dropped by 0.16 per cent to 4,318.25 points
  • The SMEs index, EGX70 sank by 0.31 per cent to 12,079.35 points.
  • The EGX100 index went down by 0.07 per cent to 15,915.46 points.

The total market capitalisation reached  2,766,382,102,061 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,465,301,910 pounds and 13,027,439,616 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile,  Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 14,492,741,526 pounds.

Top Gainers

  1. The shares of A Capital Holding went up by 10.98 per cent to 8.690 pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Suez Canal Bank S.A.E climbed by 8.35 per cent to 33.350 pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Saudi Egyptian Investment & Finance rose by 8.01 per cent to 182.400 pounds a share.

Top losers

  1. The shares of Arab Pharmaceuticals dropped by 10.00 per cent to 209.330 pounds a share.
  2. The shares of El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries sank by 9.67 per cent to 119.000 pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Delta Sugar went down by 6.22 per cent to 50.500 pounds a share.
