Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed on green note on Thursday, with the main index, EGX30 going up by 1.09 per cent, to 2,6417.6 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, soared by 2.15 per cent to 2,609.72.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 climbed by 1.04 per cent, to 5,929.76 points.
The index, EGX100 index jumped by 1.19 per cent, to 8,555.84 points.
The total market cap reached 1,793,719,372,534 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arabs foreigners’ transactions were mainly buyers with a total of 6,698,549 Egyptian pounds, and 2,065,983,779 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Egyptians were net sellers with 2,072,682,329 Egyptian pounds.

- The shares of Egyptian Financial & Industrial (EFIC.CA) rose by 15.08 per cent, to close at the price of 110.420 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Osool ESB Securities Brokerage (EBSC.CA) climbed by 11.99 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.299 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of M.B Engineering (MBEN.CA) jumped by 10.27 per cent, to the purchasing price of 1.525 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top Losers on Thursday
- The shares of Grand Investment Capital (GRCA.CA) fell by 11.08 per cent, to close at 7.060 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Rights Issue Of Sinai Cement -2 (SCEM_r2.CA) declined by 5.66 per cent, to close at 0.433 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Eastern Company (EAST.CA) dropped by 5.28 per cent, to close at the price of 17.05 Egyptian pounds a share.
