Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in red area on Wednesday.
The main index, EGX30 went down by 0.47 per cent, to 31,433.01 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, sunk by 1.16 per cent, to 3,233.06 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 dropped by 0.30 per cent, to 8,326.58 points.
The index, EGX100 index fell by 0.49 per cent, to 11,581.56 points.
The total market cap reached 2,271,873,499,421 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with a total of 3,163,314,869 Egyptian pounds and 4,134,048,624 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 7,297,363,492 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Wednesday
- Nozha International Hospital (NINH.CA) shares rose by 10.27 per cent, to close at the price of 8.700 Egyptian pounds a share.
- General Silos & Storage (GSSC.CA) shares climbed by 9.22 per cent, to trade at the price of 265.790 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Lecico Egypt (LCSW.CA) shares jumped by 6.98 per cent, to the purchasing price of 25.900 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Wednesday
- Rights Issue Of Aspire Capital Holding for Financial Invest (ASPI_r2.CA) shares fell by 6.00 per cent, to close at 0.047 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Gulf Canadian Real Estate Investment Co. (CCRS.CA) shares dropped by 5.00 per cent, to close at the price of 27.570 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Memphis Pharmaceuticals (MPCI.CA) shares declined by 4.98 per cent, to close at 59.170 Egyptian pounds a share.
