Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) ended trading in red on Monday, with the main index, EGX30 going by 0.91 per cent down to 27,287.31 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 sunk by 0.65 per cent, to 5,999.23 points.
The index, EGX100 index dropped by 0.63 per cent, to 8,680.28 points.
The total market cap reached 1,838,939,543,966 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arabs Foreigners were net sellers with 167,600,644 Egyptian pounds, and 329,757,522 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians’ transactions were mainly buyers with 497,358,166 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Monday
- The shares of Lecico Egypt (LCSW.CA) jumped by 14.62 per cent, to close at the price of 22.260 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria Spinning & Weaving (SPINALEX) (SPIN.CA) climbed by 9.60 per cent, to trade at the price of 5.480 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria Pharmaceuticals (AXPH.CA) soared by 6.69 per cent, to the purchasing price of 240.310 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Monday
- The shares of Digitize for Investment And Technology (DGTZ.CA) dived by 10.05 per cent, to close at 1.790 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals – SIDPEC (SKPC.CA) sank by 5.56 per cent, to close at 29.750 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Mena Touristic & Real Estate Investment (MENA.CA) plunged by 5.22 per cent, to close at the price of 1.634 Egyptian pounds a share.
