EGX closes red on May 29th
Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed red on Wednesday. The main index, EGX30 sunk by 0.39 per cent, to 27,089.68 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 went down by 0.05 per cent, to 5,965.79 points.
The index, EGX100 index dropped by 0.07 per cent, to 8,624.44 points.
The total market cap reached 1,829,464,464,901 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Egyptians transactions were mainly sellers with a total of 1,223,289,920 Egyptian pounds, and 3,423,415,242 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the non-Arabs were net sellers with 4,646,705,162 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Wednesday
- The shares of B Investments Holding (BINV.CA) rose by 9.80 per cent, to close at the price of 22.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Lecico Egypt (LCSW.CA) climbed by 9.06 per cent, to trade at the price of 24.320 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Orascom Financial Holding (OFH.CA) jumped by 7.42 per cent, to the purchasing price of 0.304 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Wednesday
- The shares of Alexandria Pharmaceuticals (AXPH.CA) fell by 8.94 per cent, to close at 218.820 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Rowad Tourism (Al Rowad) (ROTO.CA) declined by 5.00 per cent, to close at 26.600 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Real Estate Group (AREH.CA) dropped by 4.66 per cent, to close at the price of 0.860 Egyptian pounds a share.
