Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
- The main index, EGX30 went up by 1.04 per cent, to 33,821.03 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, edged up by 0.63 per cent to 3,492.38 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 0.08 per cent, to 10,127.66 points.
- The index, EGX100 index jumped by 0.25 per cent, to 13,731.39 points.
The total market cap reached 2,392,911,615,998 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with a total of 230,458,024 Egyptian pounds and 3,118,718,340 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were sellers with 3,349,176,363 Egyptian pounds.
Top Gainers
- Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool shares went up by 19.98 per cent to 37.350 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Arab Pharmaceuticals shares rose by 10.75 per cent to close at 122.820 per cent a share.
- Edita Food Industries S.A.E shares jumped by 7.75 per cent, closing at 14.600 Egyptian pounds.
To losers
- El Ezz Porcelain (Gemma) shares dropped by 8.68 per cent to 33.790 Egyptian pounds at closing.
- Universal For Paper and Packaging Materials (Unipack) shares fell by 7.83 per cent to close at 1.060 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Alexandria Pharmaceuticals share sank by 4.94 per cent closing at 520.630 Egyptian pounds a share.
