Egypt’s stock exchange closed in the green area on Sunday, with the main index, EGX30 went up by 0.42 per cent, to 29,728.61 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 added 0.83 to 3,146.02 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 gained 1.22 per cent, to 8,330.22 points.
The index, EGX100 index surged by 1.08 per cent, to 11,449.25 points.
The total market capitalisation recorded 2,219,879,931,286 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with 16,057,817 Egyptian pounds, and 7,618,935 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 23,676,752 Egyptian pounds.
Top Gainers
- Shares of the Egyptian Company for Construction Development-Lift Slab (EDBM.CA) soared by 20.00 per cent to close at 0.600 Egyptian pounds.
- Shares of Six of October Development & Investment (SODIC) (OCDI.CA) climbed by 12.82 per cent to end at 61.940 pounds.
- Shares of Sinai Cement (SCEM.CA) inched up by 11.32 per cent to finish at 33.720 pounds.
Top Fallers
- Shares of Arab Polvara Spinning & Weaving Co. (APSW.CA) dived by 4.73 to close at 9.060 pounds.
- Shares of El Arabia for Land Reclamation (EALR.CA) sank by 4.59 to end at 70.120 pounds.
- Shares of GMC Group for Industrial, Commercial and Financial Investments (GMCI) (GMCI.CA) inched down by 3.74 per cent to finish at 1.030 pounds.
