EGX ends in green on July 23

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) ended trading on Tuesday in green notes, with the main index EGX30 going up by 0.70 per cent, to 29,195.24 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33 rose by 0.46 to 2,787.53 points.

The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 climbed by 0.69 per cent, to 6,680.95 points.

The index, EGX100 index soared by 0.79 per cent, to 9,603.31 points.

The total market capitalisation recorded 1,993,703,556,112 Egyptian pounds.

The Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 5,761,702,116 Egyptian pounds, and 10,878,266,474 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians transactions were mainly sellers with 16,639,968,590 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers

  1. The shares of Medical Packaging Company (MEPA.CA) soared by 19.60 per cent, to close at the price of 1.300 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Development & Engineering Consultants (DAPH.CA) climbed by 7.95 per cent, to trade at the price of 58.140 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Suez Canal Bank S.A.E (CANA.CA) hiked by 7.43 per cent, to the purchasing price of 15.030 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers

  1. The shares of Rowad Tourism Company (Al Rowad) (ROTO.CA) dived by 4.95 per cent, to close at 45.320 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Egyptian Real Estate Group (AREH.CA) sank by 4.91 per cent, to close at 0.774 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. The shares of GMC Group for Industrial Commercial and Financial Investment (GMCI.CA) plunged by 4.51 per cent, to close at the price of 0.868 Egyptian pounds a share.
