EGX ends in green on Sept 10

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) ended trading in the green zone on Wednesday.

  • The benchmark index, EGX30 gained 0.83 per cent to 34,670.1 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33 added 0.86 per cent to 3,461.69 points.
  • The EGX35-LV index rose 0.77 per cent to 3,860.13 points
  • The SMEs index, EGX70, climbed by 0.59 per cent, to 10,898.74 points.
  • The EGX100 index increased 0.64 per cent to 14,357.34 points.

The total market capitalisation reached 2,469,418,400,677 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,066,194,161 Egyptian pounds and 7,101,846,509 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 8,168,040,670 Egyptian pounds.

Top Gainers

  1. Shares of Ferchem Misr Co. for Fertillizers and Chemicals soared 20.00 per cent to 54.730 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Shares of Saudi Egyptian Investment and Finance climbed 20.00 per cent to 133.860 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Shares of Middle Egypt Flour Mills jumped 10.77 per cent to 98.050 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers

  1. Shares of El Arabia for Land Reclamation plunged 6.48 per cent to 313.790 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Shares of Wadi Kom Ombo Land Reclamation sank 5.66 per cent to 222.890 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Shares of Macro Group Pharmaceuticals -Macro Capital dived 5.33 per cent to 3.200 Egyptian pounds a share.
