The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed in red notes on Monday, with the main index, EGX30, falling by 0.84 percent to 29,929.64 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 fell by 0.98 to 3,146.89 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 dropped by 0.72 per cent to 8,336.88 points.
The EGX100 index went down by 0.76 per cent to 11,458.95 points.
Egypt’s cap market reached 2,203,535,300,098 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 219,494,618 Egyptian pounds and 1,334,423,888 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 1,553,918,506 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
- Shares of El Arabia for Land Reclamation (EALR.CA) jumped by 19.76 per cent to close at 64.170 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Wadi Kom Ombo Land Reclamation (WKOL.CA) climbed by 11.56 per cent, closing at 104.960 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Ismailia National Food Industries (INFI.CA) soared by 10.76 per cent, to close at 92.750 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of South Cairo & Giza Mills & Bakeries (SCFM.CA) sank by 16.04 per cent, closing at 72.540 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Mohandes Insurance (MOIN.CA) dived by 11.12 to close at 25.740 Egyptian pounds.
- Shares of Pyramisa Hotels (PHTV.CA) inched down by 7.99 per cent to, closing at 119.130 Egyptian pounds.
