Egypt’s stock exchange(EGX) closed red on Thursday, with the main index, EGX30 falling by 0.77 per cent, to 26,428.65 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 went down by 0.61 per cent, to 5,759.59 points.
The index, EGX100 index dropped by 0.73 per cent, to 8,360.33 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 1,783,208,803,392 Egyptian pounds.
Arab and non-Arabs Foreigners transactions were mainly buyers with a total of 145,295,080 Egyptian pounds and 14,735,254 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with 160,030,334 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Thursday
- The shares of Egyptian Financial and Industrial (EFIC.CA) jumped by 10.11 per cent, to close at the price of 110.110 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of AJWA for Food Industries company Egypt (AJWA.CA) climbed by 7.61 per cent, to trade at the price of 49.500 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Digitize for Investment And Technology (DGTZ.CA) soared by 6.10 per cent, to the purchasing price of 1.756 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Thursday
- The shares of Samad Misr -EGYFERT (SMFR.CA) sank by 9.07 per cent, to close at 42.610 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of E-finance For Digital and Financial Investments (EFIH.CA) dived by 6.28 per cent, to close at 23.130 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of M.B Engineering (MBEN.CA) plunged by 5.24 per cent, to close at the price of 1.302 Egyptian pounds a share.
