Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the red area on Sunday, with the main index, EGX30 inching down by 2.91 per cent, to 25,659.13 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 dropped by 2.21 per cent, to 5,632.32 points.
The index, EGX100 index fell by 2.44 per cent, to 8,156.18 points.
The total market cap reached 1,735,738,609,827 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs’ and non-Arab foreigners transactions were mainly buying with 39,036,781 Egyptian pounds, and 74,395,539 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 113,432,321 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Sunday
- The shares of El Kahera Housing (ELKA.CA) soared by 14.67 per cent, to close at the price of 1.454 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Lecico Egypt (LCSW.CA) climbed by 7.28 per cent, to trade at the price of 24.450 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Palm Hills Development Company (PHDC.CA) jumped by 6.86 per cent, to the purchasing price of 4.050 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Sunday
- The shares of Rights Issue Of Sinai Cement -2 (SCEM_r2.CA) dived by 37.29 per cent, to close at 0.476 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria Flour Mills (AFMC.CA) sank by 9.36 per cent, to close at 19.280 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of International Agricultural Products (IFAP.CA) plunged by 8.15 per cent, to close at the price of 10.140 Egyptian pounds a share.
