The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed on a green note on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up 1 per cent to 34,198 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 gained 1.05 per cent to 3,496.17 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 rose 1.30 per cent to 10,225.07 points.
- The EGX100 index surged 1.33 per cent to 13,807.5 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,399,362,414,662 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 959,209,315 Egyptian pounds and 1,691,037,603 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were sellers with 2,650,246,918 Egyptian pounds.
Top Gainers
- Shares of Cairo Educational Services soared 19.87 per cent to 39.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Contact Financial Holding jumped 15.16 per cent to close at 5.470 per cent a share.
- Shares of Gharbia Islamic Housing Development climbed 12.81 per cent, closing at 34.000 Egyptian pounds.
To losers
- Shares of Misr Oils & Soap plunged 8.93 per cent to 160.760 Egyptian pounds at closing.
- Shares of the Egyptian Modern Education Systems dived 3.43 per cent to close at 0.450 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Naeem Real Estate Holding Group share sank 3.30 per cent closing at 8.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
