Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up 0.36 per cent to 36,900.7 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 added 0.13 per cent to 3,679.39 points.
- The index EGX35-LV rose 0.64 per cent to 4,025.26 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 increased 0.14 per cent to 11,034.92 points.
- The EGX100 index gained 0.07 per cent to 14,628.43 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,595,783,977,399 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,620,898,716 pounds, and 4,075,856,461 pounds, respectively.
On the other hand, the Egyptians were net sellers with 5,696,755,177 pounds.
Top gainers
- Shares of Macro Group Pharmaceuticals -Macro Capital soared 20.00 per cent to 3.240 pounds a share.
- Shares of A Capital Holding climbed 12.50 per cent to 4.950 pounds a share.
- Shares of Edita Food Industries S.A.E jumped 9.50 per cent, closing at 21.900 pounds a share.
To losers
- Shares of Misr Oils and Soap sank 8.08 per cent to 193.600 pounds a share.
- Shares of International Agricultural Products dived 7.21 per cent to close at 19.810 pounds a share.
- Shares of El Obour Real Estate Investment inched lower 4.51 per cent, closing at 16.710 pounds a share.
