Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green zone on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 increased 0.77 per cent to 34,937.44 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 gained 0.77 per cent to 3,488.41 points.
- The index EGX35-LV added 0.41 per cent to 3,875.92 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 rose 0.11 per cent to 10,910.71 points.
- The EGX100 index inched 0.23 per cent higher to 14,390 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,487,804,691,626 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 125,744,724 Egyptian pounds, and 1,192,962,405 Egyptian pounds, respectively.
On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers with 1,318,707,129 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
- Shares of Saudi Egyptian Investment and Finance soared 20.00 per cent to 160.630 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Ferchem Misr Co. for Fertilizers and Chemicals climbed 19.99 per cent to 65.670 per cent a share.
- Shares of Ismailia Development and Real Estate Co jumped 8.91 per cent to 39.860 Egyptian pounds.
To losers
- Shares of Premium HealthCare Group plunged 19.51 per cent to 0.132 Egyptian pounds at closing.
- Shares of South Cairo, Giza Mills, and Bakeries sank 6.01 per cent to 116.050 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Golden Coast Company dived 4.75 per cent to 3.210 Egyptian pounds a share.
