Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed mixed on Thursday, with the main index, EGX30, gaining 0.08 per cent to reach 30,526.71 points.
Meanwhile, Shariah index EGX33 dipped by 0.04 per cent, closing at 3,134.18 points.
The EGX70 fell by 0.11 per cent to 8,410.64 points, and the broader EGX100 index decreased by 0.05 per cent, ending at 11,532.93 points.
Total market capitalisation stood at 2,230,364,764,157 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with a total of 6,118,987,206 Egyptian pounds and 40,078,070 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 6,159,065,276 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
- Shares of Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing (RUBX.CA) soared by 10.16 per cent, to close at the price of 8.240 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Lecico Egypt (LCSW.CA) climbed by 5.99 per cent, to trade at the price of 32.010 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Samad Misr -EGYFERT (SMFR.CA) jumped by 5.02 per cent, to the purchasing price of 87.910 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of Mohandes Insurance (MOIN.CA) plunged by 4.24 per cent, to close at 25.730 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Rakta Paper Manufacturing (RAKT.CA) plummeted by 3.43 per cent, to close at the price of 20.810 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Zahraa Maadi Investment and Development (ZMID.CA) sank by 2.93 per cent, to close at 3.650 Egyptian pounds a share.
