On Thursday’s midday session, the EGX posted losses of EGP 1.1 billion as the capital market amounted to EGP 351.139 billion at 10:30 GMT (12:30 in Cairo).
The main index, EGX30 slumped 0.19% to reach 4899.13 p. EGX20 went up 0.21% to reach 5802.46 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged down 0.43% to reach 432.83 p. Price index EGX100 fell 0.40% to reach 772.48 p.
Traded volume reached million 53.212 securities worth EGP 301.147 million, exchanged through 9.343 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 138 listed securities; 86 declined and 37 advanced while 15 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians were net buyers seizing 46.66% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 16.873 million excluding the deals.
On the other hand, the non-Arab Foreigners and Arabs were net sellers seizing 49.42% and 3.91% respectively, with a net equity of 15.185 million and EGP 1.688 million, excluding the deals.
