EGX opens Tuesday’s trading session in green
Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Tuesday’s trading session in green territory.
By 10:25 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index added 116.45 points, or 0.66 percent, to 17,639 points.
The EGX70 index edged up 0.2 percent to 872.59 points, while the EGX100 index went up 0.25 percent to 2,266 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index gained 0.87 percent to 3,012 points.
Trading volume reached nearly 30.6 million shares exchanged at a turnover of 128 million Egyptian pounds through 3,060 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with 2.6 million pounds, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with 452,600 pounds and 2.14 million pounds, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) leveled up 0.8 percent to 9.49 pounds with a turnover of 452,200 pounds.
