Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday, with the main index, EGX30 going up by 0.94 per cent, to 30,658 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, surged by 1.38 per cent to 3,168.15 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 climbed by 1.51 per cent, to 8,029.1 points.
The index, EGX100 index gained 1.37 per cent, to 11,224.93 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,208,526,246,410 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians were buyers with 3,045,470,044 Egyptian pounds. On the other hand, Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 1,182,301,897 Egyptian pounds, and 1,863,168,147 Egyptian pounds, respectively.
Risers
- Shares of National Housing for Professional Syndicates (NHPS.CA) rose by 19.98 per cent, to close at the price of 62.380 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Contact Financial Holding (CNFN.CA) climbed by 11.28 per cent, to trade at the price of 5.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Sharkia National Food (SNFC.CA) jumped by 10.40 per cent, to the purchasing price of 3.290 Egyptian pounds a share.
Fallers
- Shares of Sabaa International Company for Pharmaceutical and Chemical (SIPC.CA) fell by 4.52 per cent, to close at 1.480 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Rakta Paper Manufacturing (RAKT.CA) declined by 4.44 per cent, to close at 18.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Alexandria National Company for Financial Investment (ANFI.CA) dropped by 3.38 per cent, to close at the price of 21.430 Egyptian pounds a share.
