EGX sets Ramadan trading hours

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) announced on Monday its trading schedule for the Holy Month of Ramadan, effective 16 February 2026. The Main Market, SMEs Market, Global Depository Receipts (GDRs), treasury bills, bonds, and local shares conversion session will run from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm, following a discovery session at 9:30 am.

The closing auction starts at 1:15 pm for 10 minutes and will close randomly between 1:23 pm and 1:25 pm, followed by an adjustment session until 1:25 pm. Trading based on the closing price will continue until 1:30 pm. Orders recording for volume transactions will take place from 9:15 am to 9:45 am.

Omnibus accounts can be traded from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm. Non-listed securities trading on the Orders Market (OTC) will be held Monday and Wednesday from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm, while the Deals Market session runs daily from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.
