Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green zone on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 surged 0.84 per cent, to 37,210.83 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 gained 0.51 per cent to 3,698.08 points.
- The index EGX35-LV added 1 per cent to 4,065.65 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 advanced 1.96 per cent to 11,250.87 points.
- The EGX100 index added 1.64 per cent to 1,4869 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,619,153,831,721 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 391,183,081 pounds. Meanwhile, Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 349,919,818 pounds and 41,263,263 pounds, respectively.
Top gainers
- Shares of Al Tawfeek Leasing Company-A.T.LEASE soared 14.67 per cent to 4.300 pounds a share.
- Shares of Mansourah Poultry jumped 10.27 per cent to 2.900 pounds per share.
- Shares of Upper Egypt Flour Mills climbed 9.84 per cent to 520.070 pounds per share.
Top losers
- Shares of Cairo Educational Services dived 4.58 per cent to 72.490 pounds a share.
- Shares of Sharkia National Food sank 4.41 per cent to 9.540 pounds a share.
- Shares of Ferchem Misr Co. for Fertillisers and Chemicals plunged 4.00 per cent to 93.000 pounds a share.
