During Tuesday midday session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has posted gains of EGP 5.5 billion as the capital market has amounted to EGP 344.964 billion, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad at 12:20 p.m. Cairo time (10:20 GMT).
The EGX indices were in green during the midday session.
The main index, EGX30 climbed by 2.84% to 4961.48 p. EGX20 pushed up by 2.51% to 5676.53 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged up by 1.08% to 435.67 p. Price index EGX100 rose by 1.78% to 730.67 p.
This was after trading in 134 listed securities; 5 declined, 134 advanced; while 34 keeping their previous levels.
EGX’s midday gains were backed by the non-Arab foreigners and Arabs’ buying deals as they were net buyers seizing 16.47% and 7.81% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 6.315 million and EGP 9.384 million excluding the deals.
On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers for the 11th session in a row seizing 75.72% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 15.699 million excluding the deals.
