Egypt adopts AI for economic data analysis – GAFI’s CEO
Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) is currently collaborating with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to use the artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to analyse data from economic entities under the umbrella of GAFI, as stated by GAFI CEO, Hossam Heiba.
Heiba noted that despite Egypt was leading African nations in attracting investment inflows, it faces a challenging and fast-moving race to secure new investments, particularly in the rapidly evolving digital and IT sectors.
These sectors are continuously seeing new funding mechanisms, investment systems, and innovative regulations tailored to their dynamic nature.
