Egypt aims to host 2023 annual Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank meeting

Egypt plans to host the eighth annual meeting of the board of governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in 2023, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said on Thursday.

Maait, who is also Egypt’s governor at the AIIB, made his remarks during a meeting with Ludger Schuknecht, vice president and corporate secretary at AIIB, in Cairo.

“Egypt is keen on boosting its cooperation with its development partners to turn into green economy,” Maait added in a ministry statement.
