Egypt-Angola trade surges to $34.2m in ’24 – CAPMAS

Trade between Egypt and Angola recorded $34.2 million in 2024, up from $21.3 million a year earlier, according to recent figures published by Egypt’s state statistics agency CAPMAS on Tuesday.

Egyptian exports to Angola rose to $34.1 million from $21.3 million in 2023, while imports from Angola increased to $73,000 from $21,000 million.

Top Egyptian Exports to Angola in 2024:

  • Electrical equipment and appliances – $6.9 million.
  • Inorganic chemical products – $5.5 million.
  • Plastics – $4.4 million.
  • Soap and washing preparations – $3.8 million.
  • Iron or steel products – $3.4 million.

Main Imports from Angola to Egypt in 2024:

  • Live animals – $40,000.
  • Iron or steel products – $15,000.
  • Raw granite – $9,000.

Egyptian remittances from Angola totalled $1 million, down from $1.1 million, while Angolan remittances from Egypt dropped to $1000 from $22,000.
