Egypt approves €12m EU grant for population strategy

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi approved Decree No. 131 of 2025 endorsing a financing agreement with the European Union (EU) for the second phase of the EU Support to Egypt’s National Population and Development Strategy, funded through a €12 million grant.

The approval, published in the Official Gazette, followed Cabinet approval and is subject to ratification.
