Egypt, Armenia discuss healthcare cooperation opportunities
Egypt and Armenia discussed opportunities for cooperation in the healthcare sector on Tuesday, said Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population.
The Egyptian Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan to discuss ways of joint pharmaceutical cooperation.
The meeting was on the side of the Global Congress on Population, Health, and Development conference.
The conference is held in Cairo from September 5th to 8th, under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
They also discussed ways to benefit from Egypt’s expertise in carrying out the Universal Health Insurance project.
In addition, they talked about ways of increasing medical tourism coming from Armenia to Egypt.
