Egypt builds 1st factory for plasma derivatives in NAC

Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population announced that Grifols Egypt for Plasma Derivatives factory will be established in the Medical City at the New Administrative Capital (NAC).

Egypt’s National Service Projects Organisation (NSPO) and Global healthcare company Grifols seeks to build 20 plasma donation centres in Egypt, alongside manufacturing facilities with a processing capacity of 1 million litres of plasma per year.

This important national project for plasma donation aims to secure needs of the state of medications in order to reduce imports and strengthen the industry, according to the presidential adviser.
