Egypt, Bulgaria mull economic, trade collaboration
Egypt and Bulgaria are considering increasing their trade and economic collaboration, said Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir on Sunday.
This came during a meeting between the minister and the Bulgarian Ambassador to Cairo Deyan Katratchev.
Samir said that Egypt is offering 152 investment opportunities to Bulgarian businessmen in manufacturing production requirements sector.
This can help localise this industry in Egypt, as well as transfer Bulgarian expertise to the Egyptian side, and promote joint projects between both sides.
Katratchev pointed out the possibility of benefiting from the Bulgarian market as the Egyptian products’ gateway to Africa.
He also said that Egypt could benefit from Bulgaria as a wheat exporter.
