Within this month, Egypt will import 50.000 tonnes of Turkish steel.
Egyptian traders have agreed to import around 50.000 tonnes of Turkish steel during September, at total cost of 240 million Egyptian pounds, Ahmed El-Zeiny – head of the Building Materials Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Amwal Al Ghad.
Steel prices in Egypt have witnessed stability by the beginning of the current month.
Elsewhere, El-Zeiny referred that his country is also set to import around 10.000 tonnes of Turkish cement within September, at total cost of 6.2 million Egyptian pounds.
In Egypt, the prices of Turkish cement have recently reached around 620 pounds per tonne; while the prices of local cement hiked this month by 20 pounds to range between 700-720 pounds.
