Egypt has imported 60.000 tonnes of Turkish steel during the two months of November and December, Ahmed El-Zeiny – head of the Building Materials Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Amwal Al Ghad.
According to El-Zeiny, Egyptian traders have agreed to import around 60.000 tonnes of Turkish steel during November and December, at total cost of 291 million Egyptian pounds.
In Egypt, the prices of Turkish steel have recently reached around 4850 pounds per tonne; while at factories, the average prices of steel range between 4800-4850 pounds per tonnes, the Egyptian official noted.
