Egypt, China sign MoU to enhance joint investments
Egypt and China signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost investments, said the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) on Saturday.
The GAFI CEO Hossam Heiba signed the MoU with Chinese Associate Director-General of Invest Hong Kong Jimmy Chiang.
Both officials are set to organise visits for Chinese representatives from financial and industrial firms to help them explore investment opportunities in Egypt.
The MoU was signed during the eighth Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong. Heiba gave a briefing on the important measures the Egyptian government took to attract further foreign direct investments (FDI).
