Trade exchange between Egypt and China grow 10.34 percent year-on-year to $14.56 billion in 2020, Egyptian state news agency MENA reported on Monday, citing official data from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
Chinese exports to Egypt also rose 11.83 percent year-on-year to $13.64 billion last year, data showed.
Meanwhile, Egypt’s exports to China dropped 7.84 percent year-on-year to $920 million over the course of 2020.
Egypt has become China’s 49th biggest trade partner as of December 2020, data added.
