Egypt, China’s Runyes in talks to launch local dental equipment production in SCZONE

Egypt plans to start local manufacturing of dental equipment in partnership with China’s Runyes Medical Instrument Co., Ltd.l, Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said after touring the company’s factory in Ningbo during his visit to China.

The move, part of Egypt’s Vision 2030 strategy to boost domestic industries, will see Runyes cooperate with its exclusive Egyptian agent, TechnoWav , to set up a plant in the Ain Sokhna Economic Zone (SCZONE), the minister said in a statement on Sunday.

Runyes, a leading global producer of dental devices, will transfer advanced technology to Egypt under the partnership. Production lines will include dental machines, air compressors, autoclaves, sterilisation units and X-ray devices, the statement added.

Abdel Ghaffar said the project will position Egypt as a regional hub for medical industries, cut costs for the health sector and support state efforts to achieve self-sufficiency.

Talks also covered joint research, skills training, and exchange programmes for medical and technical teams, according to the statement.

The partnership aims to provide high-quality equipment at competitive prices while expanding cooperation in healthcare innovation and research.
