Egypt Citizen Budget: Govt investments at EGP495.8b

Egypt’s government is allocating 495.8 billion Egyptian pounds ($16.7 billion) for investments in the fiscal year 2024/2025, as outlined in the Citizen’s Budget report released by the Ministry of Finance.

The report reveals that the majority of these investments, amounting to 279.3 billion pounds (56.3 per cent), will be directed towards the state administrative apparatus. Another significant portion, 182.8 billion pounds (36.9 per cent), is earmarked for service bodies. Additionally, 33.7 billion pounds (6.8 per cent) will be allocated for local administration investments.
