Egypt’s Ministry of Planning Rania Al-Mashat announced that EGP10.2 billion have been allocated for 464 development projects scheduled for completion in fiscal year 2024-25.
The investments are distributed across key sectors, including housing, local development, transport, education, health, and other industries, according to a statement published by the Cabinet.
The plan involves initiatives from the national Decent Life rural development project to enhance living conditions for 2.4 million residents in 150 villages across six districts by upgrading infrastructure and enhancing health and education services.
Al-Mashat, emphasised that the Citizen Investment Plans are vital tools to raise public awareness of development priorities, promote transparency, and enable citizens to monitor projects in their governorates and communities.
