Huawei Cloud Summit Northern Africa 2025

Egypt’s Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar emphasised the government’s dedication to utilising digital and cloud technologies to enhance the healthcare system at the Huawei Cloud Summit Northern Africa 2025, the Cabinet said.

The summit, held with the participation of government leaders, international experts, and technology companies, focused on the role of cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) in supporting vital sectors, particularly healthcare.

Abdel Ghaffar told the gathering that cloud infrastructure boosts service efficiency and broadens healthcare coverage. He added that AI and data analytics tools are instrumental in decision-making, performance evaluation, and precision resource allocation.

He underlined the national priority of protecting patient privacy while enabling safe data transfer, highlighting the need for robust health information systems to support transparency, quality, and service continuity in the emerging digital health ecosystem.

The minister praised Huawei for providing advanced solutions that meet global data protection standards, boosting health institutions’ confidence in using cloud services. He also commended the company’s digital capacity-building efforts and stressed the need to train young talent for successful transformation.

Abdel Ghaffar described the summit as a platform for exchanging ideas on the future of tech in Africa and noted that Huawei’s solutions could empower the healthcare sector to face future challenges effectively.
