Egypt condemns Israeli incursion into Syria, calls for Security Council action

Egypt has strongly condemned Israel’s incursion into Syrian territory and the bombing of the town of Koya, describing it as part of Israel’s continued efforts to expand control over occupied Syrian land.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry rejected Israel’s exploitation of Syria’s internal situation to seize more territory and undermine the country’s security and stability.

Egypt viewed Israel’s attacks on Syria as a flagrant violation of international law. The statement warned of the grave consequences of such aggressive policies and urged the UN Security Council and major international powers to take responsibility in addressing this dangerous escalation. It also stressed the need to uphold Syria’s unity, stability, and sovereignty over its entire territory.
