Egypt confirms 143 new coronavirus cases, 12 deaths on Sunday

Egypt reported 143 new coronavirus cases on Sunday bringing the total infection tally to 106,540 since the outbreak began in February.

The health ministry also reported 12 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 6,199.

The statement said that 90 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 98,903.
