Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty held a series of phone discussions on Monday with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Palestine, Turkey, Nigeria, and Indonesia—all members of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee.
The talks focused on coordinating efforts to advance the Arab-Islamic plan for Gaza’s early recovery and reconstruction, aligning with the resolutions from the Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo on March 4 and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) ministerial meeting in Jeddah on March 7.
Minister Abdel-Aty and his counterparts explored strategies to strengthen the committee’s role, engage with international stakeholders, and mobilize political and financial support for the reconstruction initiative. They also discussed implementing the summit’s resolutions and preparing for the upcoming Cairo international conference on Gaza reconstruction.
